Autumn

I took this yesterday, (10/01/2011) while on a bike ride along Turnagain Arm from Indian to Girdwood and back. The weather was not the best. Further down from this image it was raining and there was a stiff headwind out of the southeast. The ride became much better when I turned around to go back and had a raging tailwind. Regardless, as they say a bad day on a bike is better than a great day at work. Unfortunately, this might have been the last ride of the season, for the road bike anyway.

Mirror, Mirror, On The Wall...Literally!

It's Open!

I saw this over at Jaded Haven (see link below) and I had to embed it over here also. This is beautifully done and worth watching. The video is simply stunning and the music, I like too.

An HDR image taken last weekend near Portage. The haziness is from the rain which was coming down in a fine penetrating mist, being driven by a very high wind with almost knock you off your feet gusts. I didn't even think of trying to use my tripod in that setting and could barely hold the camera still. I didn't think that it would work, but it seems to have come out alright.
