Saturday (6/5/10) my daughter and I hiked up to Ship Lake Pass. It was beautiful, but so windy that I could hardly hold my camera still. She enjoyed it the walk, except for her 'slow' dad holding her back.
Spring is in the air! I'm looking forward to getting back hiking in the hills this summer. To that end, I ran into a very well done and interesting photo blog. It's Atom's Picture Blog and if anyone who visit's here likes this blog, I think that you'll very much enjoy Adam's too.

Fast food arches? Perhaps in neolithic times. This is a whalebone arch, taken in Barrow, Tuesday, (4/6/10)looking out on the Chukchi Sea.

Here's a little something from Dillard & Clark, 'Train leaves Here this Morning' and 'In the Plan.' It's off of a great album they cut back in 1969, 'The Fantastic Expedition of Dillard & Clark'. If you don't know who Doug Dillard and Gene Clark were, you should. Anyway if you like bluegrass/country give it a listen. If you don't, give it a listen anyway. These guys were exceptionally good.
One more track by Allison Krause and Robert Plant of 'Through the Morning, Through the Night' which gives the Dillard & Clark standard a run for its money.
